Microsoft announces Mi9 retail store jobs to open by mid-June

Microsoft Corp. said it is hiring more than 1,000 retail sales associates in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The company said the new jobs will open in the retail merchands and digital retail departments in its retail stores, and will be in addition to the roughly 4,000 associates who are currently working at the company’s retail stores.

The retail merch and merchandizing positions in the stores will support the growing online store business.

Microsoft said the hires will help fill retail sales positions at the retail stores that have been eliminated as part of the company-wide efforts to address staffing shortages in the U.S. and Canada.

The online retailing business is now in its seventh year, according to the company.
